The EU-Africa Partnership on Cotton was established to address the concerns raised by the fall of cotton prices during and beyond the 1990’s. With an “Action Framework”, the partnership comprises of two components : ‘Trade’ and ‘Development’ which aims at establishing more equitable trade and in enhancing the competitiveness and value addition of African cotton by optimizing the impact on the producer’s yields.
